Technically proficient mess This movie looks good. It sounds good. That does not make it good. It is disjointed (in a bad way), with rules that are not internally consistent (which is a grave sin when it comes to horror-movies) and it is simply not very engaging. You don't care about the characters, the constant shifts in time and feeling becomes draining, and after a while you just check out. The 10s here are not really sincere, but a way to push the ratings up a bit, I suspect. It is sad when a movie has to resort to this.
