Introduction of an underrated sitcom, the first Canadian sitcom taped live in front of an audience. Critics and the public panned the show, which faded after 13 episodes in 1973.

When a handsome Hindi, Jalal, comes to live in Egerton, Della and Aunt Peggy find themselves competing against each other for his attentions. But the pathway to the altar is not without its problems, mostly caused by the over-imaginative — and hopeful — Pegg.

Della’s household is thrown into turmoil when Women's Lib comes to Edgerton . . . in the person of Pamela, who's to address a meeting of the local WAR (Women at the Ready).

Ep.6 The Robber

Two robbers turn up in Egerton. The local bank is the target, but one robber, an old friend of Della's, isn't really up to it.

TJ decides to run against Vern Padgett for the post of Town Reeve.

Aunt Peggy starts talking about divorce, forcing her husband to vie with the local undertaker for her attentions.

Ep.9 Who's Albert?

Aunt Peggy learns that old Uncle Albert, about to arrive for his first visit in decades, has died suddenly on the train. The family goes into mourning, and when it is discovered that Albert belonged to the Slumber Rest Gold Plan, Egerton's most elaborate funeral is held. Everyone mourns.. until the real Uncle Albert suddenly turns up!

Ep.10 Brave New You

Slim's the name of the game when Aunt Peggy, depressed at seeing her once-fat childhood friend, Mavis, now svelte and lovely, decides to "find" herself through dieting.

Unisex comes to Egerton when TJ's new tenant, Gloria, opens the Guys n’ Dolls shop and soon has the town's entire male population panting after her.

TJ, the town millionaire and newspaper owner, is going to tear down an old building and put up a new one, but part of the family is anti-development, and they forged a document to say Sir John A. Macdonald once slept in the building.
